Hypnosis is perfectly safe and works particularly well with young people as it’s all about relaxation and visualisation. Relaxation is something all young people need to learn to do, and visualisation is something they are already good at. Combining the two can mean that treatment programmes can be much quicker than the more traditional counselling, and we can focus on the solution rather than having to revisit possible painful experiences.
Some schools are now partaking in ‘Hypnotherapy in Schools Programme’ that has been designed to tackle education-related issues in children and young people

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind; people are often surprised that they hear every word and could get up and walk out of the room at any moment. Unless you enter a deeper state, you may not seem any different, just very relaxed.
Most people are surprised at just how relaxing it is.
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind where we are using the subconscious mind to install, uninstall or change our thoughts. The subconscious is there for our greater good, and will not do anything that it doesn’t believe is "right".
We cannot get stuck in hypnosis and we cannot be made to do what we dont want to do. Just make sure that you choose a fully qualified hypnotherapist that specialises in the area you are looking for, and can be flexible with treatment plans as we are all different.
Hypnosis can treat a large range of conditions that are related to our mental health and our thought processes. It is excellent for relaxation as this is its main focus, before the “treatments” can be implemented. Just learning how to properly relax can have a massive positive effect on the mind and body
Conditions that can be aided by hypnotherapy include, but are not limited to:
Combined with other therapy forms such as NLP, CBT, EFT for instance, it can be very powerful in solving issues effectively and quickly.
Hypnosis relaxes you and gives you access to the resources of your unconscious mind, it is a totally safe environment, so it may be that you are able to talk about things that normally you wouldn’t. You are still totally in control, so you will not divulge anything that you don’t want to - hypnosis cannot force you to say things.
Anything discussed in complete confidentiality, unless it’s deemed you or another person is at risk of severe harm, which is the same level as you would have with your Doctor.
Each session will be different. The first session will be a little longer as we need to talk about the reasons you are there, and to collect any information we may need to make the therapy as effective as it can possibly be. The first session will involve a relaxation hypnosis, just to introduce this to your brain and allow you to learn to relax.
Subsequent sessions will be about an hour and will involve a section of talking to discuss progress, then relevant hypnotherapy treatment based on your needs at that time. We don’t have “standard” programmes as everyone is different, but we do have patterns of treatment that have shown proven benefits
